I am a PhD student at the Linnaeus Centre for Thinking in time: Cognition, Communication and Learning (www.lu.se/ccl) where I investigate cerebellar contributions to speech perception and speech production in children with speech, language and hearing impairment. I measure cerebellar timing function, mainly by classical eye-blink conditioning and interval tapping, in relation to phonological processing and oral motor skills. Adults and children with typical speech and language development are also studied, in order to develop the methodology.
Another research interest is to explore complex non-verbal hearing abilities, like temporal resolution, in children with cochlear implants to better understand the outcome of hearing and linguistic processing in this group.
