Oscillator strengths and hypertine structures in GaII from multiconfiguration Dirac-Hartree-Fock calculations

We report relativistic multiconfiguration Dirac-Hartree-Fock calculations of oscillator strengths and hyperfine structures for a large number of electric dipole transitions in Ga II. Results for the 4s(2) S-1(0)-4s4p 3P(0)(o) hyperfine-induced transition are also given. Core polarization is accounted for by means of explicit CI. To describe spin and orbital polarization, which are important for the hyperfine structures, configuration state functions obtained by single excitations from all core shells are included in the expansions. The computed oscillator strengths for transitions between low-lying states are in good agreement with recent CIV3 calculations. The hyperfine interaction constants are in close agreement with experimental constants derived from Fourier transform spectra.
