Beskrivning
In light of the university’s Future Week, we set our sights on 2030 – the year in which we complete the Global Goals. What is the role of the university in the sustainable transition? What can we do in our respective roles (as students, leadership, faculty) to increase our impact? We begin by discussing the state of the sustainable university today: what policies and goals do Lund University have for sustainability? LU’s chief environmental officer Claes Nilén will give us an update. We will hear Martina Oxling, Project Manager at Sustainable Future Hub present their work.
And how can sustainability research transform society? Anna Ekberg, Coordinator of ClimBEco graduate school discusses with PhD-students in the newly started Agenda 2030 graduate school.
Then we look to the future: a diverse group will present what their vision of a sustainable Lund University would look like by 2030. Hear the visions of deputy vice-chancellor Sylvia Schwaag Serger, director of LUCSUS Emily Boyd, coordinator of Lund University Agenda 2030 Graduate School Kristina Jönsson and representative from Klimatstudenterna Wilhelm Wanecek.
To top it off, we will all have the opportunity to write postcards, from 2030, looking back at a successful university transition: what decisions were key? What are we thankful for? These will help inform what decisions the university thinks are key in the coming years. Join us, as we envision the sustainable university of tomorrow!
