Human impact on biodiversity and ecosystems through climate and land-use change is increasingly, and in an accelerating manner, affecting our societies.

At COP 21 in Paris 2015, Parties to the UNFCCC reached an agreement to combat climate change and to accelerate and intensify the actions and investments needed for a sustainable low carbon future, bringing all nations into a common cause to undertake ambitious efforts to combat and mitigate climate change and adapt to its effects.

For a long time it has been obvious that massive climate change action is needed to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement. How does and can BECC research contribute to meeting the challenges raised by the Paris Agreement?
