This seminar will deal with a number of topical and hot issues of forest governance related to multifunctional forests under climate change.

The presenters represent the Forest Agency and research, and have long experience in working on these issues from their different perspectives. Questions that will be dealt with are:

What are society's expectations on forests?
Who governs the forest in Sweden?
How and why does the forest governance differ from the agricultural governance,
and what are the implications?
Can landscape perspectives help to solve the global challenges, and are they compatible with today's policies and ownership structures?
What are the power relations between the forest industry and other industries?
What are the power relations between the forest industry and NGOs?
How can we increase collaboration between different actors in the forest?
