Intelligence, insecurity and the international

Aktivitet: Deltagit i eller arrangerat evenemangDeltagit i workshop/ seminarium/ kurs

Beskrivning

Workshop hosted by the Research Centre in International Relations, King's College London.

Unlike war, peace, migration and other stakes that dominate IR scholarship, intelligence is almost
absent from IR theory and debates. At the same time, research on intelligence seldom engage with IR
theory, except some notable exceptions in a field dominated by historical and political science
approaches. As a result, international relations and intelligence are disconnected in research, despite
ample empirical evidence that show how they are connected in practice.

To fill this research gap, this workshop brought together scholars addressing the relationship between
intelligence and international relations broadly understood.
