Beskrivning
In this talk, professional language creators David J. Peterson and Jessie Sams will discuss their work creating languages for television shows and films. They will discuss what’s involved in creating a language from the ground up, plus what extra challenges a conlanger faces in collaborating with a major production. The talk will feature samples from their work in many of the shows and films they’ve worked on over the years (Game of Thrones, Defiance, Dune, Motherland: Fort Salem, House of the Dragon, Vampire Academy, and many others).The talk is in English and open to the public with limited seating. It will be held in the auditorium at the Centre for Languages and Literature.
