Since June 2014 Director of the ICOS ERIC Carbon Portal, hosted by the University of Lund, Sweden.
Until 2014 at ECN: Program manager and project leader in the area of Atmospheric Sciences, Climate Change, Air Pollution and Dispersion.
Active in several national and EU research projects such as CarboEurope IP, NitroEurope IP, KvR ME-2, GHGEurope, ACTRIS, ICOS. Coordinator of the EU FP5 project CHIOTTO (2004-2006) and FP7 InGOS (2012-2015).
Focal point for the Netherlands of ICOS and Atmospheric Monitoring Stations Assembly representative for ICOS Interim.
Developed and maintained the PreSRM library used in national dispersion models and the highway dispersion model VLW.
PI for the Greenhouse Gas Observations at Cabauw tower near Utrecht.
Specialist in high precision observations of greenhouse gases and air pollution, dispersion modelling, surface-atmosphere exchange measurements and modelling, atmospheric transport modelinl at regional and global scale.
