Forskning

Amanda Kron is a Doctoral Candidate in international law at Lund University. Her research project addresses human rights and environmental due diligence, particularly in the context of the European Green Deal and associated regulations. Her research interests include human rights, environmental protection, due diligence, sustainable development, environmental peacebuilding, and business and human rights. She teaches international law, environmental law and human rights law at the Master’s programme in Human Rights Studies, and as part of the Swedish professional law degree programme. Previously, she served as Associate Expert on Climate Change and Environment at the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) between 2019-2022. Prior to joining OHCHR, she worked as Legal Advisor and Project Coordinator at the Crisis Management Branch of UN Environment Programme from 2015-2019. She has also served as research assistant at the International Law Commission, focusing on protection of the environment in relation to armed conflicts.
