Ann Kull

Ann Kull is an islamologist by training working on contemporary progressive developments of Islam in Indonesia. A previous project focused on gender sensitive interpretations of Islam in general and the use of them in Islamic education and women’s rights activism in particular. Of special interest is women’s roles as religious authorities – interpreters, teachers, activists and preachers – within these developments.

Currently she works at the Academic Support Centre at LU but is still affiliated with CMES. She provides workshops, lectures and personal consultation to students on themes such as; study technique and time management; critical thinking, speaking and writing; ethics; and academic writing. Ann can also provide additional support during the thesis writing process.
