Personlig profil

My main research focus is on chronic coronary syndrome (CCS), a subgroup of coronary artery disease, which is one of the leading causes of death in the western world.
According to current guidelines, patients with known or suspected CCS should be referred for functional imaging examinations to assess if there is an impairment of the myocardial perfusion at stress, prior to coronary angiography. Magnetic Resonance imaging, Positron-Emission Tomography and Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography are perfusion imaging methods used in clinical practice to assess quantitative and non-quantitative myocardial perfusion data.
The aim of my work is to improve the knowledge of functional myocardial imaging methods to enable best possible health care for patients with CCS.
