After the completion of my thesis 2012 with the focus on patient participation in medical decision-making and with a qualitative methology my focus has changed to the effects on Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (CGA) and frailty.

From 2010 to 2015 I was Primary Investigator of the “Age-FIT”-trial (Ambulatory Geriatric Frailty Intervention Trial), ClinicalTrials.gov no NCT01446757. The main focus was to study the effects of Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment on outcomes such as Health Care Consumption, Health Cconomy and frailty.

The main results were published in 2015 and 2016 and showed more security with the care, less need of days in hospital and better survival for the patients in the intervention group.

In 2016 - 2020 I wasPricipal Investigator of a RCT (Geriatric Mobile team(GerMoT) studying the effect of CGA (Clinical Trials no NCT02923843) addressing old people seeking care often in the Emergency Room or being submitted to hospital. Primary Outcome was days in hospital and secondary outcomes are health-economy, functionality and mortality. We showed significantly lesser days in hospital and feeling of Security of Care after 24 months in the intervention group, and after 36 months there were a significantly better survival too.

I was affiliated to Karolinska Institute between 2013 to 2023 to the Department of Neurobilogy, Care Sciences and Society, Division of Clinical Geriatrics as the main supervisor of Amelie Lind Mazya. She defended her thesis 1/12, 2023 with the title "Assessment of Frailty in Old People with multimorbidity".

I became affiliated to Lunds University 2016 and became Senior Consultant in 2019 at Lund University, Campus Helsingborg. My doctoral student Karol Biegus had half-time control th 25th October 2023 with th project "Effects of care delivered by geriatric mobile teams".

Presently we are working on the publication of the results of GerMoT-trial and the effects of Geriatric Mobile Teams.
