Forskning

Bibi is currently researching drone operator identity and community in Canadian and Swedish militaries, using interviews and ethnographic observations. She holds two MAs from Queen’s University in Canada in Sociology and Political Science and previously worked at the Centre for International and Defence Policy also at Queen's. Bibi has also worked at the Trauma and Recovery Lab at McMaster University researching military sexual trauma and diversity in the military in Canada. She is generally interested in critical military studies more broadly, and has experience researching issues of diversity and force structure in militaries as well training on gender, diversity, and sexual misconduct in militaries and international organizations. Bibi is also interested in feminist research methods for studying military organizations and choose approaches which embrace complexity and mess in the research process. 

Undervisning

Bibi has past experience teaching and grading on introductory political science, peace and conflict and international relations concepts, research methods, special topics in sociology, and policy studies. She has taught a variety of related topics at both the undergraduate and masters level including environmental conflict, intelligence analysis, civil military relations, and critical and feminist theories. She also has experience teaching on military policy/practice and the integration of historically underrepresented groups into the military.
