Research
My name is Bibiana Prinoth, and I am a PhD student in the Department of Physics at Lund University, working under the supervision of Jens Hoeijmakers. My research focuses on analysing high-resolution spectra to investigate the atmospheres of exoplanets, particularly ultra-hot Jupiters.

Ultra-hot Jupiters are a fascinating subset of exoplanets, characterised by extreme temperatures, short orbital periods, and unique atmospheric conditions. These planets serve as natural laboratories for studying atmospheric chemistry, thermal structures, and physical processes under intense stellar irradiation.

In my work, I use high-resolution transmission spectroscopy to detect atoms and molecules in the atmospheres of these planets, uncovering their composition and dynamics. My research aims to deepen our understanding of the hottest known exoplanets, offering insights into their formation, migration, and the broader context of planetary system architectures.
