Personlig profil

Forskning

I am an Associate Senior Lecturer in European Studies and an Associate Professor (Docent) in Political Science. I hold a PhD in Political Science from Lund University (2018).

Research areas:

My research takes place at the intersection of international relations, political sociology and media and communication studies. In past research projects I have explored the constitutive effects of digitalization on norms and practices in foreign policy and diplomacy. Among other phenomena, I have been interested in the use of social media within diplomatic organizations and communities of practice and in efforts to deal with or counter the malign effects of digitalization, most notably in the form of digital disinformation. My empirical research focuses on the European Union (EU), NATO and to some extent other international organizations such as the UN, the AU and G20. I have also conducted research on more broad themes within European and Swedish politics.

Check out my Google scholar page for my academic publications.

I am currently participating in the VR-funded research project Postdigital propaganda in the EU Horizon Europe funded project ADAC.IO and in the SRA-MECW funded research project Frictional Homebuilding: Swedish Civil Society Actors in the Occupied Palestinian Territories

I am also an affiliated member of the Europe program at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs in Stockholm and of the Psychological Defence Research Institute and Centre for Advanced Middle Eastern Studies based at Lund University.
