Erik Sigge is an architectural historian and preservationist, and Lecturer in theory and history of architecture at the Department of Architecture and the Built Environment, Lund University in Lund, Sweden. He is Head of Unit of Form Design Culture and primarily teaches courses in the bachelor program and During 2020 and 2021 he was a postdoc fellow in the History Theory Criticism group at the Department of Architecture, MIT, Cambridge, MA, USA. Erik gained his PhD in architectural history from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden (2017), where he also was teaching and researching during the years 2010-2019. Prior to KTH, Erik was Director of Educational and Cultural Programs at Scandinavia House in New York City, where he led the public programs of The American-Scandinavian Foundation. He holds a master degree in Historic Preservation from the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation at Columbia University, New York (M.Sc. 2003), and a bachelor degree in Integrated Conservation of the Built Environment from University of Gothenburg, Sweden (B.Sc. 2000).
