Forskning

Currently a 2nd-year PhD student researching the bog body phenomenon at the intersections of archaeology, environmental humanities, posthumanism and more-than-humanism. Exploring topics like the creation and perpetuation of narratives, the portrayal of bog body remains as a specific phenomenon, the perception of the bog and the human-bog relationship through time, and the centring of the human and the body in general.

I'm interested in exploring the idea of a 'brown humanities (influenced by the green/blue of environmental humanities) that could be more appropriately titled critical peat/bog studies and what this anthropo(de)centric approach to the bog body phenomenon could look like in practice, within an inherently anthropocentric discipline.

Other interests: forensics, bryology, critical plant studies, vegetal ontologies, ethics, archaeological and critical theory, wetlands, peats and bogs.

Supervisors: Åsa Berggren (LU), Christina Fredengren (SU & UU)

Currently away from LU on a Guest Researcher stay at the Posthumanities Hub in Linköping, researching the idea of a brown humanities of peat, mud and moss, i.e. a critical peat/bog studies, more-than-human, multispecies relations and anthropo(de)centric approaches.
