Biostatistiker
Marlena Maziarz, PhD, is a Biostatistician at the Lund University Diabetes Center in Malmö, Sweden. She works with scientists and clinicians on projects to study triggers and mechanisms that drive the progression of type 1 diabetes and celiac disease. She received her Ph.D. in Biostatistics from the University of Washington, under the supervision of Prof. Yingye Zheng. Her dissertation work was on risk prediction and evaluation of predictions based on longitudinal data with time-to-event outcomes in cohort and two-phase studies. Before that, she studied Computer Science and Human Biology at the University of Toronto. Prior to joining LUDC in 2018, she completed her Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Biostatistics Branch at the National Cancer Institute, Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics, USA.
