Forskning

My research focuses on using atomistic simulations, like Molecular Dynamics, Monte Carlo, and Density Functional Theory, to study nano-materials. I primarily work on heterogeneous metallic nanoparticles and interfaces, aiming to understand their diffusion behavior and the structure-property relationships that define their unique characteristics. I also integrate machine learning techniques into my research to identify patterns and trends in the simulation data.

Currently, I’m involved in several projects:

  1. Diffusion at Bimetallic Interfaces: This project explores how different combinations of metals affect atomic movement at the interfaces of bimetallic materials, helping us understand how these processes influence the overall properties of the materials.

  2. Growth Mechanism of Nanowires: Using atomistic simulations, we study the factors that influence nanowire formation, providing insights that are key to controlling the synthesis of nanowires with specific properties.

  3. Oxidation of Metal Nanoparticles: We aim to understand the oxidation process in metal nanoparticles, which is important in areas like catalysis and materials science. Our work focuses on uncovering the step-by-step atomic transformations during oxidation.
