Niki Chatzipanagiotou is a Senior Lecturer and Researcher in the Department of Informatics at Lund University.

Her research focuses on the intersection of Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). Grounded primarily in ethnographic methods, her work explores the use of information systems in information-intensive organizations and broader societal contexts, with studies conducted in Sweden, Australia, and Greece. Her research interests include socially-embedded technologies, human-centered design, digital transformation, and digital inequalities. Current projects extend to workplace learning, hybrid work models, and the ongoing digital transformation of workplaces and societies.

Niki’s work has been published in IS venues including IRIS, HCI, ECSCW, and the Learning Organization Journal, among others. She is actively involved in the academic community, serving as an Associate Chair and reviewer for the ACM SIGCHI Conference on Computer-Supported Cooperative Work & Social Computing (CSCW), the European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS), the International ACM CHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI) and other conferences and journals.

She has active academic/professional memberships at:

1. AIS (Association for Information Systems)

2. ACM (Association of Computing Machinery)

3. EUSSET (European Society for Socially Embedded Technologies)

Niki is a member of the Research Group Digital Societies, which focuses on advancing our understanding of how digitalisation shapes societies, businesses, and education.
