Forskning

I am a PhD Candidate at the Department of Service Management and Service Studies, Lund University.

In my PhD project, I look at how different garment care initiatives are introduced to fashion markets, both studying the socio-material retail landscape surrounding these care products, services and guides as well as looking into how consumers take on responsibilities to care for their garments and extend their lifetimes. Therefore, in my current research I'm particularly interested in different services and corporate strategies, within the fashion industry, aimed at extending the lifetime of products through the consumption phase.

Before starting my doctoral position, I gained an undergraduate MA(SocSci) degree in Business and Management in Scotland from the University of Glasgow, Adam Smith Business School. Upon that, I gained a MSc degree in International Marketing and Brand Management, with a focus on consumer trends, brands and innovation at Lund University, School of Economics and Management. During my studies, I was always drawn to subjects around consumption, business ethics and sustainability, which I chose to focus on at both of my dissertations, from a consumer angle within the empirical field of the garment industry. This experience motivated me to undertake a doctoral research project connected to sustainability and consumption in the garment industry.
