I am a doctoral student in Cognitive Semiotics at Lund University. My primary research interests focus on meaning-making in various semiotic systems such as language, gestures, pictures, and their combinations (polysemiosis). I am currently working on the concept of semiotic irony, examining both monosemiotic and polysemiotic types of it, as well as how irony is expressed and perceived in different contexts, such as among members of the same or different groups and in political discourse. Having background in second langauge teaching, I also follow research in second language acquisition.
