Ye Xiong

I call myself a 'light green' biologist as I enjoy working both in the field and the lab. I have strong interests in evolutionary biology, such as the mechanisms governing fitness.

During my BSc and research internship, I studied trade-offs and fitness effects in the collared flycatcher (Ficedula albicollis), and I studied early nutrition impacts on immunity during altricial development of great tit (Parus major) nestlings for my MSc.

My current research is focused on immunoecology. I will use zebra finches (Taeniopygia guttata) to understand the the associations between telomere length, immune responses, and immune costs.
