Accessible and equal specialized supportive and earlier palliative care for children with cancer in Region Skåne

This research project is performed in collaboration with a clinical development project funded by RCC. The purpose is to improve availability to advanced supportive and palliative care to all children with childhood cancer in Region Skåne. One research aim is to, in collaboration with the project "Developing treatment models for earlier palliative care for Swedish patients with advanced cancer using per-patient illness trajectory analysis", map illness trajectories of children that died from childhood cancer in Region Skåne. Furthermore, we aim to partner with clinical professionals to investigate their perception of potential barriers, improved support and education needed to provide supportive- and palliative care in childhood cancer.
