Beskrivning
The increasing incorporation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in urban planning practice is changing the way cities are being designed, planned and managed. Applications of AI in planning include, but are not limited to, the use of machine learning, internet-of-things, the implementation of city brains, and predictive modelling. Future planners will increasingly need critical and analytical skills to employ AI technologies and methods in their everyday practice.
This pilot focuses on the advancement of large language models and their contribution for urban planning education. With this pilot, our aim is to (1) explore the opportunities and risks of using AI – urban data science, modelling, and advanced mapping – in planning education and (2) propose concrete learning activities and outcomes related to AI methods in the specific context of the urban and regional planning program at Lund university as a case.
