Critical thalamocortical connectivity in central nervous system disorders.

The thalamus is critically involved in several central nervous system disorders, such as schizophrenia and frontotemporal dementia. This study takes the perspective of the connections between the thalamus and the critical cortical areas, the critical thalamocortical connectivity, as its foundation. Both in vivo MRI data and postmortem histological methods are used.
