Beskrivning
Marine biosonar signals are short transient signals in the ultrasonic range, inaudible to the human ear. All toothed whales (dolphins and porpoises) use sonar, also called echolocation, more or less constantly throughout the day and night.
We have two specific goals in this project. The first is to develop the algorithms for accurate characterization of multi-component biosonar transient signals, also for low signal-to-noise ratio. The second goal is to develop an automated algorithm that accurately detects all hidden components and characterizes the biosonar signals.
