Beskrivning

FlexiSync aims to optimize the flexibility in the district energy sector, a sector with untapped potential to balance the energy system. By increasing the flexibility, the heat and electricity sectors can complement each other in order to facilitate a more efficient use of renewables and waste heat in the energy system. The Flexi-Sync project is an ERA-Net SES financed project, including 16 partners from four EU Member States: Austria, Germany, Spain and Sweden and having six demo sites in the participating countries.
Lund University (in collaboration with Chalmers) leads WP3 which is about assessing the climate flexibility and resilience of urban energy solutions. We synthesize representative future weather data sets for the demo-sites, generate demand profiles using data driven approach, and assess the climate flexibility/resilience of the energy system considering climate change.
