Från benign ö-cellsautoimmunitet till typ 1-diabetes:mekanistiska studier av CD8+ T cell biomarkörer för sjukdomsutvecklingen

We will validate a simple flow cytometry assay to profile islet specificity and surface phenotyping using the type 1 diabetes-specific markers of autoimmune CD8+ T cell staging of type 1 diabetes. The main outcome will be the delivery of an assay to measure the overall autoimmune CD8+ T-cell burden and its pathogenic potential in a given individual to better stratify the risk to develop T1D.
