Projektinformation
Beskrivning
This project will evaluate several aspects of hydronephrosis in children.
We will map the birth prevalence and investigate maternal risk factors, as well as describing how these children are managed regarding age at surgery, surgical methods, centralization and how this has changed over time.
Further, the long term morbidity after pyeloplasty in terms of need for re-operations, kidney stones, kidney failure, and uromalignancies will be evaluated in comparison with healthy controls.
At last, how resolution of hydronephrosis after pyeloplasty occurs, and the role of supernormal function on the preoperative MAG3-scan, will be evaluated.
