Populärvetenskaplig beskrivning
How does vocal and non-vocal communication between members of the same species work and how does this translate to communication between different species?
The ASG will study and discuss interspecific communication and evaluate the state-of-the-art in our understanding of current findings. These include communication within-and-between humans, animals and with technological social interfaces (digital characters such as robots and avatars) depending heavily on Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Intraspecific vocal communication has a long history of scientific research, but heterospecific interaction has not. The ASG will focus on open research questions which primarily concern how interspecific communication works.
