Beskrivning
Most people living with HIV that receive antiretroviral treatment have undetectable levels of HIV RNA in plasma. Still, between 3 and 10 % have persistent low-level viremia (LLV). The impact of LLV on patient outcome is unknown. This PhD project aims to assess the associations between LLV and clinical outcomes such as all-cause mortality, AIDS, and serious non-AIDS events and to investigate the mechanisms behind these associations.
