LU AI Standardisation Research Network

The LATTICE network oversees Lund University's membership in the AI standards mirror committee of the Swedish Standards Institute (SIS/TK 421). SIS/TK 421 is a national-level standards group composed of industry and academic experts, whose work is to consolidate and represent Sweden’s position on AI standards within the European (i.e., CEN-CLC/JTC 21) and international (i.e., ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 42) standards developing organisations.

The network aims to support interdisciplinary collaboration between university AI researchers and the standards development community, incorporate research findings into industry-wide standards, and promote responsible AI development and deployment. LATTICE will generate research opportunities, give researchers first-hand experience in standards development processes, and support them in knowledge dissemination to the wider AI Lund and Swedish AI research communities.
