Social Neoliberalism through Urban Planning: Bureaucratic Formations and Contradictions in Malmö since 1985

My Phd dissertation investigates social contradictions in urban planning by studying the municipal planning department archives in Malmö, as well as related sources generated by various other planning bodies. The project's main emphasis is on the articulation on fragments of past technologies of rule with neoliberal ideas, and how this process is disrupted by everyday life in the city.
