Mechanistic and therapeutic studies on the role of the S100A9 alarmin in cardiac inflammation

The purpose of the PhD project is to define the role of S100A9 in the common immune pathways involved in MI, myocarditis and sepsis, and to test the efficiency and feasibility of S100A9 blockade as a potential immunomodulatory treatment.
