Movement matters (MoMa): Analysing kinematics of human-robots engagement in joint actions

Projekt: Forskning

Projektinformation

Beskrivning

The project aims to develop a new method for analysing human-robot interactions (HRI) from an embodied perspective, by focusing on movement patterns in meaningful joint actions between social robots and humans. Our proposal aims to use kinematic analyses to reveal key aspects of coordination between interacting humans and robots, thus extending current interaction models available for research on HRI. We also want to validate methods for adapting a generative computational model of movements to recorded kinematic data in real time. The project will benefit from the excellent expertise that researchers at Lund University Cognitive Science have in the field of human social interactions and computational models based on neurophysiological data applied to humanoid robots.
