Pharmacogenetics in patients with depressive disorder with specific focus on pharmacological treatment, personality disorders, suicide attempts and genetic variation in CYP2D6 and CYP2C19.

1. Is there a difference in the pharmacological treatment and its outcome in patients with or without a history of suicide attempts?
2. Is there a relationship between personality disorders, monoamine systems, CYP2D6 or CYP2C19 genotypes?
3. Does poor, intermediate, extensive and ultra rapid metabolizers of CYP2D6 and CYP2C19 differ between patients with depressive disorder with our without a history of suicide attempts?
4. Can knowledge of CYP2D6 and CYP2C19 genotype in combination with pharmacological advice, knowledge of clinical parameters and other medication, optimize pharmacological treatment for the recovery of depressed patients?
