Platelet phenotypic profiling during the progression of COVID-19 disease

Platelets are central cellular mediators of coagulation and also contribute to the immune response to infection. In this project we determine the platelet phenotype of patients during the progression of COVID-19 disease from Day 0 post diagnosis until Day 28. The platelet phenotype will be correlated to the clinical and immune status of the patients, with the aim to delineate biomarkers of disease and/or guide antiplatelet therapy.
