Systemic inhibition of galectin-3 as a feasible therapeutic target for Parkinson´s disease

In this project we will study an inflammatory protein, galectin-3, which we have found to be involved in neurodegenerative diseases, and will in this project see if targeting/inhibiting this model systemically in animal models of Parkinson’s disease and in in vitro models can affect the pathogenesis of Parkinson’s disease
