The Right to Adequate Housing of Migrants and Refugees in the Housing Market

This thesis investigates the right to housing without discrimination as a right of migrants and refugees in international law. It does so by contemplating the intersection of migration, the market economy, and human rights, thus aiming to clarify the meaning of this social right in international law conceptually. As such, the investigation is carried out against the backdrop of the connection between social rights and the market economy. Through the contextualization of the right to housing at this juncture, the thesis discerns the inclusive and exclusive effects of the right on migrants and refugees within the architecture of international law.
