Uncovering proteomic alterations in Parkinson’s disease using patient-specific iPSC-derived brain cells

The goal of the project is to identify early disease mechanisms leading to neuronal injury in Parkinson´s disease (PD) by exploring the relationship between the patients´ genetic makeup and the dysfunctional networks and pathways of their brain cells.
We will investigate networks and pathways that are dysfunctional at early stage in dopaminergic neurons, astrocytes and in oligodendrocytes in PD (vs controls) and will compare the different brain cell types.
