Beskrivning
Lund University of Technology in collaboration with Akademiska Hus plans in this project to within the framework of a test bed and a
demonstration example for sustainability measures collect roof runoff, clean via a membrane plant and use it for
toilet flushing and laundry within the LTH campus in Lund. This concept is intended to be used as a demonstration of sustainability measures. The project is intended to replace drinking water with purified roof water and use it for toilet flushing and laundry water. Further investigating the project also the social aspect by investigating the experience of using purified roof water for toilet flushing etc. laundry
instead of drinking water.
The project is considered to have great potential to be successful due to several factors:
-The Department of Chemical Engineering (LTH) has extensive experience in urban rainwater management and water purification.
-The researchers in the project are used to designing, installing and commissioning membrane plants of various sizes.
-The researchers have access to their own laboratory to evaluate the water purification process at the Department of Chemical Engineering (LTH).
-The researchers also have extensive experience in evaluating both water treatment and membrane plants in a circular model.
-Akademiska hus, which owns and manages Lund University's buildings, has made the 'Chemical Centre's roof' available for this
