VESSEL CO-OPTION IN PRIMARY VERSUS METASTATIC TUMORS

The aim of the project is to investigate the biological background and significance of non-angiogenic tumor growth in the progression of various solid tumors using both clinical samples and experimental models. We also aim to develop a multimodal, digital pathology- and mass spectrometry imaging-based platform to investigate the intratumoral distribution and effectiveness of anti-angiogenic agents in primary and metastatic tumors through the related tumor biology, histology and vascular characteristics.
