Improving cold-season process representation in the LPJ-GUESS dynamic vegetation model, with a focus on non-growing season greenhouse gas emissions, snow- and permafrost dynamics. The overall aim is to reduce model uncertainty and provide more robust estimates on the future high latitude carbon balance under different climate scenarios.
