X-ray and neutron μCT of biomedical samples: from image acquisition to quantification

Projekt: Avhandling

Projektinformation

Beskrivning

Even though the validity of x-ray computed tomography in the analysis of biomedical samples is nowadays undisputed, the more recent techniques and more advanced instruments (such as synchrotrons) are still relatively unknown by the medical community. The main focus of this project is to try and bridge the gap between “instruments and methods providers” and “samples and questions providers” by joining collaborations with different medical groups of the Lund and Malmö area, in order to show them the potential of advanced x-ray and neutron imaging methods for preclinical studies and aid them in the process. The aimed endpoint would be to develop pipelines, from image acquisition all the way to data quantification, that could be used by every other research group with similar questions.
