Sammanfattning

This study presents an empirical approach to the use of imperfect and preterite Spanish past tenses, with state and achievement verbs by Swedish students of Spanish as a foreign language in the levels A2, B1 and B2. The main objective is to establish to what extent the participants link the use of the imperfect and the preterite in relation to state and achievement verbs. The study compares the results of Swedish students with native Spanish speakers performance to observe similarities.
