Sammanfattning
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, including the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and 169 targets, builds upon a novel
approach to global governance and towards sustainable development.
Five years after the adoption of the 2030 Agenda, however, only limited
progress has been made to achieve the goals and targets. The COVID-19
pandemic further hampers the implementation of sustainable development strategies, while the SDGs could be used as a recipe to cope with the
current crisis. Civil societies worldwide play a key role in holding governments accountable for the commitments they made in the 2030 Agenda.
