Sammanfattning

Text discussing the 40-year history of the artwork We Overfeed Our Heroes Until They Explode. Originally created as an unsanctioned stencil painting by American artists John Fekner and Don Leicht in Lund, Sweden, in 1984, the work was recently revisited by Fekner together with American artist Brad Downey as part of a commissioned art project for LundART. A central point raised in the text is the differences between unsanctioned street art and commissioned public art, as We Overfeed Our Heroes... has so far transitioned from the former to the latter during its lifetime.
