Sammanfattning
This article provides an overview of the Belt and Road Initiative’s (BRI) current progress, as well as the challenges and uncertainties it faces on the national and international level. At the same time, it notes that the Chinese Communist Party continues to show resilience in its promotion of the initiative. Finally, it argues that we will likely see the BRI develop in new, experimental ways in the years to come, following the overarching approach of “crossing the river by feeling the stones”.
