Les manuscrits montpelliérains du Roman de la Rose: édition synoptique de la partie de Guillaume de Lorris

A new text edition of "The Romance of the Rose" would not satisfy the reader if it did not consider partially unused manuscripts.This one gives the possibility to discover the first, courteous and allegoric, part of this great romance of the medieval literature from three manuscripts hosted by a provincial library, the one from the university historical library at the Faculty of Medicine in Montpellier and to confront them to each other’s. This Master thesis proposes with its subject: “The Romance of the Rose Montpellier’s manuscripts: synoptic text edition about the part of Guillaume de Lorris”, to follow the steps of a text edition of a manuscript in describing them to then establish the transcription of the text itself and to present the variants from the control manuscripts.
